There has been no activity for 18 months. Therefore, I sent the company a letter requesting my lease to be released. The company has received the letter. I received the confirmation from the USPS. How long do I wait for them to reply? Thank you for the help!!

If your lease has expired there is no need to waste your time. Landmen know that your lease is expired. You can get an Affidavit if Non-production from the OCC if that is what you want and file it of record.

G Win, will be very interested to see how this ends up for you. We are in the same position but our lessor has filed bankruptcy. Not sure what we are going to do at this point.
