A few months ago we were told that the Caswell Unit started producing in August 2014. We have been waiting for a DO for several months. However, I called Antero customer service a few days ago and was notified that the Caswell Unit was moved and we no longer had an interest in this particular well. Has anyone on here had this happen before? Can you explain it in laymens
Greg, I had 4-wells cancelled but reissued on different API NUMBERS. Never did figure out why they cancelled the the first release, didn't really care as my interest stayed the same. You should have received a modification, showing the changes, if you know the API numbers it won't be difficult to determine what happened.
Thanks Arnold. I do have the API numbers for the two units. I pulled them up on the mineral rights website and it says "Deviated from the original":. We have not received a modification or any information relating to any change given that these two wells started producing in August 2014 and we still have not received a division letter. We were just told we had mineral rights by Antero. Talked to Antero yesterday just to follow up only to find out the wells had been moved easterly and that we no longer have any ownership. She did relay, however, that she is limited to what is on her spreadsheet, so who knows what is going on. This is all very confusing and not sure how to find out what is truly going on with these wells.
Greg, you might go to >downloads.wvgs.wvnet.edu - /BatchInfo/, and click on the County where your wells are, it should give you the original API and also the modification. Also it is now taking a year from the time the well goes on line (sales) before one receives a D.O. I have two wells that went on line DEC 2013, and I just received a D.O last month, hopefully a check will be received the 1st of Feb. Good Luck.
and search Doddridge (I guess since your post is on the Doddridge group) and Caswell as well number.
I found 2 permits with that name, 6369 and 6377. I then found them on the downloads list, most recent activity is Oct 2013. Do you see anything on there that looks familiar? Where else did you look that you found something else?
What website did you go to that indicated "Deviated from the original"?
I have been trying to decide if we were included in the Caswell. Moving it east would put them right on top of us, depending on how far east. How would I get a copy of the pooling unit for the relocated unit?
I did not see anything indicating modifications on the WVGS site.
A year? That's nuts. They shouldn't be allowed to do that. There are title attorneys (not me) that would gladly do the work for them. They're just being too cheap to hire more title attorneys.
Kyle Not sure if you were speaking to me. No, we're right in the middle of all the Units. I called on a couple and got the manpower, we don't have the final title for the DO and a couple other excuses. That was before I found the almost 2 year old wells.

It sounds like they just moved the wells over, and now your property isn't part of the area they're producing/fracking. That's disappointing.
Also, I think they have to file an amended declaration of pooling if they change the Unit. I know they do that sometimes. And, if they change the well direction, the DEP requires them to send out a notice giving you a chance to request a hearing if you are within 1500 feet of the new well. We just got one of those where we were not in the Unit but close. Funny story. When I saw how close we were to the EQT Unit, I called a friend who is an EQT landman. I gave him the parcels and asked why didn't EQT lease them for a possible other Unit. He called back and said they would love to lease those, but weren't those the same parcels that they tried to lease from us 3 months ago, but we leased to HG instead for better terms. There were! Had no clue. Highly embarrassed!
Kyle, sorry about not getting back to you sooner, You are right about hiring more attorneys, I believe that Antero has only STEPTOE & JOHNSON that works the Doddridge County area. I know at one time I was trying to get info from Denver's division order people and it was like pulling teeth, so I asked the same question that you are- hire more help, and they did, but still not enough, as wells are going way over a year now after start-up until we get a div. order. My question to you is -do you think because of the low price of gas that companies are chocking off both quantity and info?
