Your minerals are in a very productive area of Reeves County. I would be a little hesitant about selling if they were mine.

the two kath wells combined pay me around $150/mo. on my share which is 7 acres ownership.
[as a family we have about 24 acres and we are all asking these same questions.]
is it being suggested there is more to be found on the property that will pay much more?
when one looks at a $22k+/acre sales offer or more vs. $150/mo it is really hard to be thinking about holding.
right now the minerals are not leased below 100' below vertical total depth of the kath wells (there is a pugh clause from way back when). this is the info:
KATH 1H = TD15106MD 10784TVD 3RD BONE SPRING D SAND NO PILOT GL 2669 KB+30
KATH 2H = TD15581MD 10885TVD WOLFCAMP X SAND NO PILOT GL2637 KB+30.
is there much value in the unleased portion? the referred to permitted anadarko well is drilling to PHANTOM (WOLFCAMP) at 11700' completion depth. is it deeper zones that people are drilling that everyone is putting so much optimism in (note the anadarko well is proposed to complete 1000' below the two kath wells on our tract)? is it putting a bunch of wells on one end of the property and drilling to the other end that everyone is excited about? we am having trouble seeing the 'play' here so we are looking for insight.
