5-12N-24 W on the top of the mineral deed it has 76.24 acres but I thought we only had 2.11 acres.
8-12N-24W on the top of the mineral deed it has 160 acres but I thought we only had 4.44 acres.
We inherited this from my grandfather and there are many people involved. We don’t own the land just the mineral rights.
Is there drilling going on around the Cheyene area? Its been quite a while since there were any oil leases.

Not knowing all of your details, this is just a theory. The age of the deed may be important. It could be several generations old and has passed through several probates to fractionate down to your level. The deed may also have a fraction stated within it such as 1/32nds or something similar.
There have been quite a few leases taken in the last three years in sections 5 & 8 of 12N-2wW. Make sure that all of the heirs have their names and addresses properly filed in the Roger Mills courthouse with the clerk of deeds so that the land men can find you.
Debra: The 76.24 acre & 160.00 acre figures you are referring to are the Gross acres of the tract under which you own a fractional interest.
Yes there is lots of leasing at this time in RMC. I would suggest you visit the Roger Mills County Clerk website & search property records. You can search by name and or by property description. All mineral deeds & property deeds & oil & gas leases will be recorded there.
