Has anyone been approached recently by companies wanting to negotiate a ROW. If so did they offer any prices per rod? If any pertinent information can be offered it would be much appreciated. Thank You
Negotiating a ROW is more than the price per rod. After all a rod is a lineal measurement (16.5 feet). Having this alone does not indicate the actual area that will be impacted by right of way. This is determined by multiplying the length by the width to determine the acreage involved. Then you must consider whether the ROW will impact the ability for development. Can you have power lines above the ROW? To what depth is the ROW? What other nasty concessions are being requested.
Thank you Richard for your comment. I can see there are a lot of variables to consider. Your comment is much appreciated.
