I just received a solicitation from the Oklahoma Mineral Owner Registry. Is this just a scam or is it really used to find mineral owners?
That is a for profit group. The only official repository are the county courthouses in Oklahoma. The landmen and attorneys go to the courthouse.
It is a SCAM. Do not send them money. They got your contact information from the same place EVERY landman does and that is the county clerk’s office.
