Out of the blue we received an offer from BCF Minerals to buy the above mineral rights from us. I know that these wells are on that land: Majors 1-1H, Rinehart #1 , Bolch 1-1, Brogden 1-1, Brogden 1-11. Is there something about to happen out there? Thanks.

BCF is a large buyer. If they send out offers, they know something. Cimarex has a well pending at the OCC. It is a horizontal well for the Mississippian or Woodford reservoirs. Horizontal wells typically have much higher volumes than vertical wells since more reservoir feet or perforated. You should be receiving a mailing from the OCC regarding the well. Make sure that your name and address are properly filed with your property description in Canadian County courthouse.
