We’re mineral owners in the Reeves County Kingfisher wells with Noble Energy as operator. Suddenly, we’re getting all kinds of buyout offers (which seems odd for minerals in production). Does anybody have new info about more wells being drilled or increased density, etc? The amount of purchase offers and phone calls is staggering.
There might be something with a recent partial release that Noble filed in late June that I found. The release was essentially for all depths 100 feet below the deepest wells in the West Half. Meaning that if someone was interested in drilling that deep in your section you would be open to another lease. While most of the surrounding wells do not go deeper than the two in the West Half, it is worth noting that Rosetta had permitted 3 horizontal wells from 2014-2016 that they abandoned. These wells were to be drilled to a depth of 13,000 feet. Other than that, Oxy has permitted some horiztonals about a mile and a half from your property that are to a depth of 14,000 feet. Hope this helps.
Feel free to post a pdf of what you refer to.
