Section 28 Block 33 any activity?

Hello,

I own a 5.14 acre tract of land in Section 28, Block 33. I live in England and have never visited the property. Recently, out of the blue, someone wrote to me offering to purchase the land. After a little research, I discovered he was a landman ( a term then unknown to me) for Permian oil. He offered me $2,500 for the property which I turned down. Is there any oil drilling, fracking etc., in this area. How would I go about leasing this land? What is the approximate value of the property? Sorry for all the questions, but this is all new to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I tried pulling up your Sec. 28, Block 33 on the GIS Map and it said there were no such survey. Do you have an Abstract #? With an Abstract # I should be able to find out if there is any production or activity in your minerals area.

many thanks for this, sounds like good news. How do I go about leasing my land, or finding a purchaser?

Sorry for all the questions, but this is new to me and I have no idea of values etc., or how to capitalize on this property.

If you notice on the 2 completion reports under 'Operator's Name' the operators are Cimarex and Jetta Operating Co., Inc. It wouldn't hurt to give them a call and see if they would be interested in leasing your minerals. I am posting a link to Texas Oil and Gas Directory. Terry the exact same thing with me is his first name Jay? we are the same section, block but lot 29. I had to ask this one questions for 30 mins to get anything out of him but on the phone but then googled his name and wala!

Hello,

yes, the first name was Jay. Never spoken to him, only mailed. After I refused his offer I have heard nothing since. Guess he was trying to buy up blocks of land at small prices as a speculation?

My computer has been down but yes we are speaking of the same person. ; I did call him back around nov 2013 and it took a while but he told me he wanted to put a salt water disposal on the property. I typed up a reply to his letter and mailed it off, to date I have never heard back. He really struck a nerve with me about something specific. I have been told by other people to just "hold on" which is what we are doing.

Anyhow, I just was back and thought I should let you know. Also he is the only person to contact me.

Keep us up to date on what is going on.
