Id like to discuss the news happening in section 29
Jeff, I have a small interest adjoining you in Section 30. The OCC shows no permit to drill.
What is going on?

I've have two purchase offers for this legal description. I also have a lease offer for Sec. 30, it's neighbor. I thought it was all from Continental, but my phone has been kaput, and after a few days of not responding to anyone, the messages I am getting make me question if that's accurate. I did find the production numbers for the Wilkins 1-29, and date of first sales in Continental's 4th/4 report. 9.8 Mcfg/e's per day, I think. First sales in December. I have minimal acreage, and have received nothing from Continental. The day I called them, the answering service (mechanical) told me the entire company was in a meeting and unavailable for calls. I haven't had time to pursue further. But these are the things I know, to date. At least, I think I know them - verifiable on Continental's website. Purchase offers are for $8000 and $8500/acre. As if. :-)
I have a small interest in Section 30 but have had no lease offers. I don't remember any purchase offers but I just pitch them with hardly a glance so I could have received one.
If first sales are in December, you won't get a Division Order until May or June. They are supposed to pay within six months or they owe interest. 12% if title clear, 6% if there is an issue.
Offers mean someone is interested. More wells may come, so hang onto it!
PS I suspect I have a fault running through Sec. 30
Ann, Google the Saxon 1998 PhD thesis (OU I think) and look on Cross sections G and F for your section. BIG anticline, but lots of potential. It does depend upon the faulting.
Thanks, Martha! I will do that right now.
Some of the diagrams are pretty dark and lots of PhD text which can be used for insomnia cure, but scan the cross sections that pertain to your areas and print them off. I use them all the time. Newer seismic is more accurate, but this gives a good idea of the general structure.
I copied both cross sections and also saved to my computer file. I see the Cruce anticline you're talking about. The F Cross section is easier to read than G. I'm going to look for other copies of G online.
Also, I'm going back to look at some 2S 4W cross sections as my husband & I have interests there.
Thanks so much!
Jeff, I mis-spoke when discussing lease offers. I will not receive lease offers as my small interest is HBP by some old, shallow wells. The checks are so small I forget about them ;>)
