I thought it might be a good idea to let the Hughes County Group know that since my mothers passing in 2012-my father (biological) started receiving offers because the mineral rights are not in my name yet. I have actually been in litigation with my mothers husband lining everything up so I can finally probate her will. With that said, United Land Company, LLC sent the first and it is a request to purchase my mineral interest for $500 per net mineral acre which they have estimated at 6.6666 net mineral acres. (Whatever that means) Dated 10-1-12. The 2nd is from Maven Management Co.LLC for $600 per net mineral acre dated 3-12 13,-and the 3rd is from Edmond Energy and is for $1500, dated 7-5-13. Now, I don not know what any of that means and I hate to say it, but when this was presented to me, I looked at the offers-figured it was kind-of relevant, found an attorney and that is as far as I have gotten until 9-20-14, and that's when I really started taking a look at everything I have. My attorney called me on 9-14 letting me know that my mothers husband lost his appeal and the other case he had against has been dismissed and that we start on the probate soon-I am waiting to hear from them right now. In the mean time, would anybody be interested in talking with me about what all of this means? I am kind-of in the dark here. Thank you!

Janice, join the Stephens county forum and read thru what people have posted. Very nice, knowledgeable people. It will catch you up to speed and answer questions. I have minerals in garvin and my mother in law has minerals in Hugh’s so I watch both sites. I know that they are leasing land in Hugh’s but drilling has put on hold because of gas prices being low and limited pipeline. They are drilling more in the oil areas because oil prices are up. There are a lot of things to consider before signing a lease. don’t sell your minerals because they will eventually drill the Woodford in Hugh’s. Again if you go to Stephens forum the people there will walk you through what to ask for in a lease. 3 year with no option, depth clause ect. Hope this helps.

Yes I do. There are actually 3 names on there. My mom, my uncle, and my grandfathers sister. I actually have that order, I just am not sure what it means.
