Can anyone help me understand if there is current or anticipated drilling on the acreage shown above. Family is blessed with 72 mineral acres in those sections and evaluating some mineral offers. Would really appreciate any information or insight. Thanks very much.
There is no current or permitted drilling in those sections. There are a whole bunch of horizontal wells on some units very close by. Given enough time and enough rigs and no macro level events, you’d guess that everybody will eventually get a decent amount of wells drilled on their land. Would assume people are offering you something between the current situation (very very little per NRA) and the OMG zillion wells situation (worth a whole lot per NRA).
Map below has HZ wells that have spud (Green) and horizontal permits (yellow diamonds). The one horizontal well that appears to go north in Sec 32 is erroneous, it actually goes South but somebody did the DX/DY calcs backwards.
