Selling fresh water in Reeves County

Hello, I’ve been approached to sell fresh water but as a novice I don’t even know how much to sell it for. Any info is much appreciated.

You can look at University Land Rates - Rates and Damage Schedule as a starting point. But suggest getting attorney for the agreement like Wade Caldwell.

The University of Texas RATE AND DAMAGE SCHEDULE lists a fee of 55 cents per barrel. However, a local attorney might have a better idea of the going local rate.

When I worked in west Texas, they were buying water for 1 dollar a barrel, that’s been 6 years ago!

Hi Hector - You definitely want to connect with a landman and an attorney. There are many names/references on this site that are good starting points. Good luck!
