Sequence of Events on Multiple Wells

I have a mineral interest on three parcels in Blaine county. Two of those parcels are currently producing and the third may be in the near future. The producing parcels are 6-15N-10W and 1-15N-11W. After talking with Devon’s owner relations, they stated that several more wells have been drilled on each parcel but they have not been fracked and had no idea when they would be. I assume that the wells cannot commence the 6 month production period if that is not completed.

Is this a standard event for all wells or is Devon holding these additional wells for later production? Are fracking rigs in short supply?

Any information you can shed on this is appreciated. A D Sanders

Fracking crews are limited. It is common practice to drill the wells first in a batch mode and then frack them all at the same time because it saves millions and millions of dollars. The wells cannot produce unless they are fracked. The six months begins with first sales, not production.

Thank you for your prompt response.

One more question, is there a website that tracks the fracking rigs similar to the drilling rigs? Since there are so few rigs it would be great to keep track of where they are. Thanks again. A D Sanders

ADSanders: No there is not. The timing of the fracking is solely up to the operator and its development plans.
