Several questions re: well in Converse county

My family owns several hundred acrres of mineral rights in Converse county and I'm finding it very difficult to get any answers as to what is going on with drilling.

1)I looked on the WOGCS website and saw that " last reported status was EP" What exactly does this mean? Is it Exploration Phase? If so what exactly does that mean?

2)Our family resigned a lease with CHK this past summer for the area. I noted that on the WOGCS site that if you go into the APD area that you see a copy of the Application for drilling. On this application it says something about, " if well is dry it will be plugged and completion sent on a Sundry @ later date. So I gather if they don't have luck in this area that they will plug it. But what is this "Sundry"?

3) The 1 area that most of the interest is in is Sect5- Twn34- Range75. Does anyone have any info on what if anything is going on there? We do not live in the area so are unable to check this out.

Thanks for any info that you can provide!

Pat,

No activity in that area immediately north of Glenrock. For now, Chesapeake is concentrating on what looks to be their "core" area immediately north-northeast of Douglas.

The sundry is just a term for various different forms that the WOGCC uses. If you plug a well there is a form for that.

Have no idea what EP means. But they have not drilled the well in section 5. Closest was a well in section 10, 34-75 and that one is temporarily abandoned the last I knew. It could be plugged by now, but they had some problems drilling it.

Pat,

After looking at the WOGCC website.....EP=Expired Permit? Looks like maybe that drilling permit has expired. They can always resubmit for a new permit later.
