I just got through doing an online demo of their software with Gabe Wilcox at mineralsoft.com. Really interesting. Some of you might be interested. Check it out, https://www.mineralsoft.com/new.
If you tried the link that was up just a second ago, it was the wrong link, my autocorrect helped me get it wrong! Sorry about that.
That’s weird, I went in and changed it and checked it before I posted it. I don’t understand how it changed it to be wrong again. Anyway, thanks, Clint!
My enthusiasm may have been premature. I will update when I know more. I will answer questions if you request to friend and do it privately. I still have great hopes for this software but will reserve judgment at this time.
This has absolutely nothing to do with mineral rights, but… did you ever work as a court reporter? I ask because last year I was trying to contact someone with your name in Texas and met with a dead end. Sorry for being off-topic here!
Linton, I sent in my first royalty payment check stub in July, received confirmation from Gabe saying he’d work on it, but haven’t heard anything since! I have great hopes that this could help clarify some of Devon’s coding, etc., and am not sure if I’m doing something wrong or not when I sign into Mineral Soft.
Joe, I guess what is worthwhile to some may not be worthwhile to others. It is the most reasonably priced software I have come across to date. You don’t really purchase the software; you pay by the month for the service. Once it’s set up, your interest info is fed in monthly and you are paying for that tracking service. It’s a pretty comprehensive program. I haven’t really gotten mine set up yet, so I’m reluctant to say more. If someone is interested, I would suggest they do the online demo; it’s very informative as to what all the software will enable you to track.
Hi, Shugi. No, I haven’t been using it. I thought it looked very promising when I initially tried it, but it did need some tweaking. I got busy doing other things and just never got the enthusiasm up to try it again. I bet it’s better now. If you all decide to use it, let me know what you think. Linton
