Can anyone explain how the spacing works or tell me where to look it up?
We have interest in one section, but our section is in a spacing with another section. I was told that the interest will be the same for each well that is in that spacing.

SR, the state arbitrarily laid a grid over much of the western half of ND and said "there, that's the spacing". That is how your spacing was spaced. Operators can request to have the spacing changed, usually to enlarge the spacing to 1920 or 2560 or possibly larger these days.
As I mentioned before in another thread, all acres in your 1280 spacing are created equal in the eyes of the state and the operator and will receive royalty as if they were directly under the 6 wells or in the path of the wellbores.
I think it likely that you are over another producing formation and you will likely have even more wells, but probably not right away.
