What the heck is with all the Statoil wells coming off the confidential list with no production data or listed as drl. How far behind with the fracking are they? I read that newly drilled wells should be fracked within 2 months of drilling. If this is the case, will Statoil ever complete these wells on time? There are many, many Statoil wells without any available information once they are released from the confidential list.
Also, in this day and age, you would think Statoil would offer direct deposit for the royalty payments. Just sayin...
Gail, I believe that Statoil has their own fracking crews and I would be glad they do. Having your own experienced crews appears to make the completion cheaper so they can do more frack stages which lets more oil into the pipe. From looking at thousands of wells, the then Brigham and now Statoil wells consistently produce more oil than their neighbors because usually they have more frack stages. I have a friend who participated in his Brigham well and completion costs were 3.3 million for 38 frack stages, I have a different operator who claims it cost 7 million dollars for 24 frack stages. I would have much rather have had Statoil as my operator and 38 frack stages but we don't get to pick and I'd be willing to wait 6 months for my well to be fracked since I waited 9 months with KOG for my wells to be fracked anyway. I know it's not easy to be patient, been there a few times. Good luck with your well/s.
I like getting the paper checks but to each their own.
