under “pooling” - Does everyone who holds mineral interests in that section (Section 17 1N 5W) get a percentage or everyone (holding mineral interests) involved in Section 17 ? AND does the pooling order apply to all the wells in that Section?
Linda, thanks for the news on the Love. Sounds like very low on oil, but okay on gas. Am I correct? Somewhere I have notes on what’s average, good, etc. for o & g but haven’t found them. At least I guess considering the price of oil it’s better to have gas wells.
Diane,
Fracking has been done and the completion rig is down today. The pipeline is hooked up now. They are doing the flowback.
The Goins well has a flare going this week.
Ed - Thanks for the updates. Do you know how long they have been flaring the Goins?
Kathlyn…That’s still a very good well but with all the huge wells we’ve seen on some of these last wells drilled in the SCOOP it pales a little. The price of gas is also down but it’ll come back up…not sure when but it will…some like Boone Pickens thinks in about 15-18 months.
Thanks again Linda.
SJK…how can you be offered less than no bonus? Are you going to pay them to lease it?
SJK - I got 2nd hand info. that there was an order to join 2 sections (unitize?) into 1280 acres for drilling. Don’t know what the other section is, but coul;d be 21. Guess that would cut the royalty amount in half :-(. But, was told Cont’l would end up with 6 wells. Info. not verified, as I don’t know how to find out.
William, cuts the royalty in half but in theory doubles the production. No applications filed with the OCC yet to indicate exactly what the plan is. It probably won’t be 21 and 22, they very rarely run east/west
These multi-units are not always 50/50. We have 9 wells being drilled in 17 and 20-2N/4W with some proposed at 50/50 and others 35/65. You don’t find out the exact split until the wells are completed.
SJK, Continental usually offers 1/4 when pooling but can’t swear they always do.
Thx Michael, great information!
does anyone know…is fracking still going on at Oceana? (step hens 17 1N5W, also step hens 8 1N 5 W)
21-2s-4w I am being offired 1/4 no royalty should I continue to hold off until pooling? It looks like I may get less in pooling…
Oh I was thinking a bonus and 3/16 would be less…I could be wrong
Wow William !
Thanks for the info William.! I’m thinking I should take the 1/4 no bonus. But we never know do we
Posted in the Oklahoman today:
Section 23 1n,5w in Stephens Love No 1-26-23XH 225 bbls. of oil per day and 4,588 cu ft. gas per day.
Michael, pooling only applies to those mineral owners who are not leased. It forces them to select an option of bonus and royalty similar to what was offered in a lease. Everyone who owns minerals in a producing section receives their royalty percentage. A single pooling order applies to all wells in the section except in cases where a well is going to produce from a formation not designated in the original pooling order or in a depth clause that is part of your lease. I’m not sure I understand your question about holding interest or “involved” in a certain section. Each section, township and range are distinct and individual. Every township/range has a section 17. Having interest in 17-1N/5W is not the same as having interest in 17-2N/5W. There may be some finer points to the pooling process that others may want to add.
Tim…I get nothing…guess you have to subscribe, right?
Linda, I heard they lost #5 and had to start over. Glad they are getting close, maybe fracing in Jan
