Stephens County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Has anybody in Stephens county heard or leased to Okie Energy.

I am told that Okie Energy is a subsidiary of Rock Capital Group.

Thank you

Debbie

Southern Oklahoma is beginning to get iced in for what is expected to be a few days. That’s not too good for the wet gas business they tell me. I’m sure they are taking care of that down at the diggings as usual.

Linda, does the cold effect production? Seems like it would be good for sales of NG and Propane.

Wellhead freeze-ups

The cold may effect production.

Came out in the Oklahoman today: Drilling intent for the Honeycutt #5. Thought they had already posted it before but if so it was there again!

Great news. Thanks Richard!

Hutch, your poteet rig is down and being hauled off.

Has everyone gone silent, or do have a problem with my mail? Haven’t seen a comment since Sunday.

Kathlyn, I don’t think you have a problem. I don’t see a comment since Linda posted on Sunday

I think these low oil prices have everyone down in the dumps. Hang in there, better days ahead!

I agree, Hutch!!

Not a stock suggestion from me but just some interesting facts sent in an email to me.

Hutch, Sent you info request.

Rig with pad on Sec. 15, 2n4w (Honeycutt???) was down and gone and they were hauling in tanks this morning when I went through in a hurry to go to the dentist in Marlow. Also in a hurry to get back for another appt. so didn’t have time to get off the highway to check on the Poteets and others sorry! (now I have my car cleaned up after all this mud and gunk). Don’t know when we might get back down. Could still see 5 rigs off to the south (thought these all to be Honeycutts). So, my question is “Is there suppose to be six new Honeycutts to make 7 in all?” If not, then quess 1 or 2 may be called something else. Also, the new location on the north edge of section 22 is graveled and looks ready for another well which I figured was also for a Honeycutt but that may be wrong. Anyone know? Anyway, was told today that they are making VERY good time drilling one of the Honeycutts (don’t know the number on it) because they are already at 16,000 feet and tripped pipe yesterday (I believe they said). Maybe that’s because they are going into the turn (just a guess). Isn’t that about the depth they start the turn to go lateral in the Woodford? Hubby said if they are making the turn that may be why they were tripping pipe (to change tools, I believe he said)

Saw just two Kelly wells still up (from highway 76 view anyway).

Linda, According to OCC Jerry-1H, a springer well, was drilled in Section 15. Spud in October so drilling should be complete. Honeycutt 2-10 are supposed to be drilled in Section 27. Honeycutt 2, 4-8 and 10 have been spud. 3 has been permitted and 9 TBD. Not sure what’s happing at north end of 22. NFX is planning a Springer test well in South end of Section 23 through all of 14. Wish they would wait for price improvement. All of the above activity is in 02N 04W.

Honeycutt 2,4,5,6,8 and 10 have all spud. Honeycutt 4 drilling complete (rig moved to 5). Jerry (Precision 50) drilling complete, rig moved to Blaine County SK/CLR joint venture (Jones Bay 1-7-6XH). As of today no further activity on Poteets, all water lines down, fracking to start any day now.

Hi Mike-

Do you know the name of the well that NFX is drilling through 14?

Kyle Best I can tell NFX is a few months away from securing a permit to drill. They need to finish some OCC applications. They will then decide when to drill. Once they pull a permit we will know the name.

Mike…Ahhaaa!!! So Jerry is the name of that critter on section 15 2n4w. I may have been told that but had forgotten if so. Thinking now it could be padded on Jerry Condit’s land. I guess the new pad on the north side of 22 could also be a Honeycutt going south through 22 and 27. Possible??? I am thinking that the first Honeycutt was on south half of 22, 2n4w and headed south (maybe across 27, huh???) That’s where an old Honeycutt home place used to sit years ago.

Has anyone seen a completion report for the Wilburn No. 1-15 (Sec 15-T1N-R5W). OTC website shows it became active on 12/5/2014. I have been getting lease inquiries for Sec 14-1N-5W so it may be a good well.
