Stephens County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Barbara…yes, we do know her. Hubby had read in the Lindsay news where she would be on the show tonight and that she couldn’t tell us how she did until after the show aired. Her name was Anisa Bell but I don’t know what her name is now. We were gone and didn’t get to watch. How did she do? I hope well! She’s a sweet girl.

I’ve been following postings on this site for several months and learning a great deal from everyone’s generous sharing. Linda, your recent comment about “intents to drill in the Oklahoman”. Does that mean they will be drilling?? If so, any idea how soon??. I’m particularly interested in section 2 3S 4w where my brother, sister, and I have lease with Jackford Land and what (forgive my ignorance) is Gentry#1 - 11 - 2XH?? Many thanks.

Leland%201-18H.kmz

thanks, Linda.

Intents to drill in the Oklahoman this morning:

Continental Resources, Gentry #1-11-2XH in section 2 3S 4W (Jaccai, that’s close to yours but no cigar)

Continental, Honeycutt #4-22-15XH well in 15 2n4w. (Since the Honeycutts used to live in section 22 and section 15 is across the hiway north of there I guess that means the pad will be on 22 and lateral going north across 15). The last well I know of that was put on 15 was the Vanarkel which someone on here had said had been a blessing for them.

Continental, Honeycutt #6-22-15XH

Someone refresh my memory. Are the Honeycutts going to the Springer or Woodford?

Linda,

New Honeycutt’s are not shown in either 15 or 22 yet. The first Honeycutt went to Woodford.

CLR has a permit to drill the Jerry-1H in 15 02N04W dated May 16. It is supposed to go to Springer.

Linda,

My brother just pointed out to me that I do not look far enough. The SHL’s for the new Honeycutt’s are in Section 27 and they go to the Woodford.

Could anyone please share a map of exactly where the Leland 1-18H well is located in S18 1S 4W. It is currently being drilled. I understand there are older wells in the area as well as a new Marathon well to the south and just wanting to put a visual together with a map and names of wells. Or where I could find out what wells are being drilled or in production close by the Leland. Thanks so much.

Linda, just watched “Wheel of Fortune” and a lady was from Lindsay. Her husband is in the military and they were stationed in Hawaii. Her name is Anisa. Any chance you know her?

So glad for Anisa!!!

We went for a drive down through the diggings in 2n4w in Stephens (well actually passed through this little bit of Garvin Co. first. Anyway here’s some of what we saw:

In Garvin Co. about a 1/2 mile south of Purdy (about 2 miles east of highway 76 I’m guessing) was an all white looked like newly painted drilling rig.

Then as we crossed the Garvin Co. line into Stephens going south we spotted two Cactus rig signs numbers 130 and 160 on the county line road for some rigs that were obviously to the west of highway 76 but too far over to see from the highway because of the hills and trees between me and thee.

Huge flare burning on the location where the Briar 3 & 4 wells are. Also a flare on Briar number 2 on Section 2 2n4w.

There were 3 I believe Kelly well rigs standing across the section 14 2n4w. One closest to highway 76 had a lot of pipe in the derrick which hubby said looked like they were about done. He had heard from some guys that had been working on it that they were only about 175 ft. from TD when the drilling motor went out so they had to pull it out which slowed them down. The men that have been working on it said it beat them out of the bonus they were fixing to get by finishing the well so quickly. The said CR has been paying them bonuses for finishing the wells in record time. They were lower than a snakes belly and you can see why because they would have probably gotten about $1500. each someone said. :{ Believe that was a Patterson rig number 291.

Two rigs up and drilling on section 27. Believe they are two of the Honeycutt well rigs going through 22 and 15. Also a rig up on section 15 (I think) just west of the location where the Vanarkel is.

Saw flares on at least a couple of the Casados wells but didn’t go completely into the section (21) were the banks batteries are. We could see one from 19 road and the other on the first Casados which we could see from the west side of the section.

Looked like they were adding chemical to Branch number 5.

Looked like they were doing some soil farming on the south side of section 21. They had also smoothed up around several of the locations on section 21 2n4w and had planted grass/winter wheat or ?. Looked a lot better than before anyway.

On the Jerrod there were 6 large 300 bbl.(?) tanks. Five were marked for oil and one for water. They were running it on a 22/64 choke. So it’s only about 1/3rd open but guess that’s for the good of the well.

One Poteet rig still drilling but had lots of pipe in hole so probably finishing soon. Then the fracing will probably begin!

Gate was locked on the conjoined twins the McElroy 3&4 (?) wells. Wasn’t locked on number 1 but everything running smoothly looked like. Still don’t even have the location graveled for the McElroy #2 on section 17 going to 19 if they ever get it started.

There was rig on the long time prepared location just west of the Vanarkel. Guess that’s a Honeycutt. Getting to be so many wells down there it’s sure hard to keep them separated in my mind.

Gates were locked on the Claudine and Whatley number 2. (Both CR wells)

I appreciate it ,Martha, but I can’t get the link to open on my computer. Any ideas?

Well, lots of type-0’s, sorry!!!

Is anything happening on 16-2S-4W in stephens county? Thanks in advance

SJK, 16-2S-4W

Continental has picked up 43 leases in the last 999 days. No permits or hearings yet.

Try this. It is a screen shot

Mike Mc, the 1023 is for reporting comingling of the Woodford and Hunton sources of supply but it seems a little pointless because it only dipped into the Hunton for the last 5 ft. Martha could this little tail-off at the end indicate difficulty penetrating the Woodford at that point?

I just got the contract in the mail for 39,000 for section 16: s/2 sw/4, s2 n/2 sw/4, ne/4 ne/4 sw/4, nw/4 nw/4 se/4. Section 21: nw/4 nw/4 nw/4. The contract is from strata minerals. Any information on this?

SJK-- also think about the federal and state taxes on the sale. I hope you take Michaels advice and do your due diligence before you sign anything. I also inherited and had no clue. With this forum and the wonderful folks on this forum I count my blessings everyday. There will be other offers if you need to sell. Or these guys offering to buy will wait until you do your research. Please don’t be hasty. 32.5 acres between you guys is a lot! Take your time. Hopefully others will chime in with more insight before you do anything. You can also negotiate the price if you need to sell. They know something you don’t, so now is the time to learn as much as you can before you decide what to do.

Can anyone tell me all the names of the wells that have been drilled or are in the planning by Citation (or anyone else) in Stephens Co. with the name “Bull” in them? Too long of a story to get into as to why I would like to know but if anyone has access to that info. I’d like to have it please and thank you! Have a Blessed Day everyone!!!
