I have what is likely a dumb question. I have leased the mineral rights on my portion of land to one company. A different company is drilling in a different part of a 1280 unit, that contains my leased acres. If the second company drills a successful well, will I share in the proceeds of that well, even though I do not hold a lease with that company, but with another?
Msn, yes. Also, the operator who drills the well is usually the one to send you the check, so you will probably be getting two different checks. I hope this helps.
Thanks, yes it does.
I'm glad to help, please ask more questions. I like to see people asking questions.
