CLICK ON MAP TO ENLARGEThink the term “dry hole” may be misleading here. It looks like Tall City for some reason had to restart drilling three times on the well they designated as the Stork 155-156 22 HR.
They permitted it the first time under API 389-39113, spudded 7/14/20, then re-permitted it under 389-39125 (spudded 7/20/20), and a third time under 389-39142 (spudded 8/17/20). Maybe they moved it slightly but those were appantely all the same well, 22 HR.
According to a completion report Tall City filed 10/4/21 after that third try drilling it 22 HR was completed and on 6/3/21 tested at 1222 bpd and 1741 mcf.
Another confusing piece though is, although 22 HR had produced strong since April, 2021, on 5/23/23 Tall City filed another “well record only” completion report for it, and the production for the last two months reported (1 - 2/2023) was way down from what it had been running, possibly indicating downtime.
Thank you both very much
Tall city well API 389-39113 which is marked dry hole. They hit an old riverbed pretty far down 7000 feet or so. A lot of gravel in the well, which caused it to collapse. About the down time. All wells around Stork 156 - 155 unit were shut-in so they could frac the new wells on that site
