How does one negotiate surface right values? I’ve looked up older posts on surface rights and I just want to make sure that based on the attached I have those rights. The email response from the landman doesn’t mention those in a brief email offer. I mentioned my deed stated surface rights in a brief phone call tonight. I’m trying to determine next steps.
Surface rights are usually in the topside real estate world. You might be able to look up the county tax board for those as a starting point.
