Reagan,
As I started to leave a message I clicked on "Reply To This" and nothing happened. It would seem it has to be clicked twice in order to work.
Now, I would like to be able to tell when someone I left a message for has read my message. Then I would know if they simply weren't interested or perhaps had an issue with something I said in the message. Just a thought...
Wes Luke
ADMIN RESPONSE BELOW
Mr. Luke, Thank you for the suggestion. I've added your note to our list of improvements and will make sure it is recommended to our software provider.
Thank you and keep'em coming.
Joel,
When you visit a county page, the latest comment is at the top of the "Comment Wall" section. Right below where you enter a comment, you can click a link that says "Follow - email me when people comment". That will ensure you are emailed when someone comments. If you ever comment in a group, you will automatically be signed up to receive notices and will need to click "Stop Following - don't email me when people comment" if you don't want to receive notices.
For discussions within a group, it is very similar. If you ever respond, you will automatically begin receiving updates on the conversation. If you haven't responded and would like to follow the conversation, scroll to the bottom left of any page of the discussion and click "Follow - email me when people reply".
Have a nice day,

How do I go directly to a last activity on county group.
Thanks,

Mr. Dukes,
Thanks for everything you do in keeping this going.
Did something change recently on the way the software displays on smart phones?
The formatting seems to be different in the last 10 days or so. If so, are there any user configuration settings for the smart phone settings?
Rick
Mr. Howell,
You are correct. There is a new mobile interface. We haven't customized any of it yet, but it should be better than it was before.
If you prefer the desktop interface, click the icon in the top right corner of any page (while in mobile view). It will open a drop down window where you can click "Desktop View" right above "Sign Out".
When you are in the Desktop View, you can click "Switch to Mobile Optimized View" in the footer on any page to change back.
Have a nice day,

What does MMBOE stand for?
Mr. Horner,
It stands for (M) Thousand (M) Thousand (B) Barrels of (O) Oil (E) Equivalent or a Million Barrels of Oil Equivalent.

I received this question last week:
Question:Is it possible for other people to be able to read Mineral Rights Forum off line conversations?
Answer: Private messages are not visible to anyone, but the parties included. It works much like an email system. The site owner doesn't even know when, if, or what anyone messages. If a conversation is held in the comment section of your profile, that is visible to friends. If you don't want your friends to see it, don't publish it in discussions or in comments on a group or on your profile. Those are visible to your friends.
Use the email system to keep messages private. You can send anyone a message by clicking on their profile, then clicking "Send a Message" right below their photo. You will have to be their friend before trading messages, but you can include a message in the friend request.
how long does it take to review a blog before it gets posted?
Dustin, Blogs are usually approved within 2-3 business days, but I don't believe you and I have discuss blogging before. The "Blog" is set aside for contributors writing professional articles. If you have an interest, let me know and I'll send more details.
If you'd like to post a question or start a discussion, hover over the "Forum" heading above and click "Add a Discussion"

EMAIL TROUBLESHOOTING
If you are not receiving email notifications from a group or a discussion and you would like to, be sure you are "Following..." the discussion or group. If that doesn't work, try the following:
- Trouble Shoot Email Notifications
-
Check Your Email Settings - "Activity" - "In My Groups" has to be checked
- Try a Different Email Address
-
Be sure you are Following Comments - For Groups, The "Follow..." link is right below the box where you type your message on the comment wall. If you are following and it is not working, "Stop Following", then "Following..." again to see if this troubleshoots the problem
If all the above fails, send me the following and I can have the IT group track down whether the system is sending the notification or not.
• A link to the specific piece of content that should have triggered the notification (i.e. give us information about a comment by (member name) and provide us a link to that page so we can see it)
• The subject line of the email notification that should have been sent (if you know it)
• The date and time the notification should have been sent
• Their time zone
• The email address that should have received the notification
Send the information above by email to Admin @ mineralrightsforum.com

Good morning Miles,
We publish MRF as a resource to help educate mineral owners and professionals who have questions related to just about anything minerals. It's a group effort and many questions are asked more than once. Allowing discussions to remain on the site is what makes sure others benefit from questions that have been asked and answered previously.
If you have concerns over something that was said, please message me about the issue and we'll go from there.

Question? If a member creates & opens a discussion, options permit "editing" but not deletion? Seems that for member to option edit, member should be able to delete his or her discussion after closing? HELP?
Mr. Miles,
We don't currently have that option available.
Miles said:
Think you misunderstood my question. I was 'suggesting' that any person initiating a discussion be given "option" to DELETE after discussion ends with reduced or no replies for a period of time? There are OPEN DISCUSSIONS dating back to 2011 that are still being shown ?

Is the search engine having a problem, or is it me? I have been trying to search and no matter what I type into the box, the results are "Our apologies - we couldn't find any discussions matching your search." I even typed in MRF Software after I found this thread and it came up with that message.
Hi, Question please as we are waiting for word back from the landman and I am anxious to get details: If the map shows the drilling is on the WEST side of a section and we have mineral rights for the EAST side of the section, will we get royalties?
