Texas county records update?

The trust in my grandfather’s will states “the trust shall terminate upon the death of my daughter…the trust shall be distributed to my daughter’s surviving descendants.” This will and trust was filed in 37 counties in Texas where properties are held. Upon my mother’s death, an affidavit of heirship was filed in each county.

The operating companies were notified separately in the same way and are now paying heirs properly. The counties are still sending tax statements to the trust.

How do I get the counties to update their records?

Send a letter to the county appraisal district and the tax assessor-collector requesting the change and giving them the names, addresses and percentage interest of the heirs and include a copy of the file-marked affidavit of heirship.

Thank you. That certainly sounds simple enough.
