Tonkawa unit 1 H

Do you know if anyone has any idea how clean the gas is at the Tonkawa 1H. Is there a lot of CO2 or H2S?

Thanks,

Jerry

JC,

I do not know that info. Hopefully, we will see more activity from the Tonkawa.

I have heard ~4% for CO2 from Kinder Morgan to whom the gas is delivered to. That information is dated to about12 months back

Hello, Does anyone know what’s going on with the Tonkawa Unit? The Texas Railroad Commission website is still not reporting any production for last month I noticed?

Last month of October 2021 showed almost 2000 MCFD. I guess i had missed that they finally properly classified the well as a producer rather than a injection well. It has a 6000’ horizontal lateral at 14,000’. Proppant was 2500lbs per foot

EOG applied for a permit today for a 13500’ Austin Chalk well in a unit they called the Gladiator “A”. The new unit is in the J.Miles and B.M. Dougherty Surveys just north of Wilde Road. The proposed well will be the first offset to their big Tonkawa well. The boundaries of the two units almost join, but the 4,160’ lateral programed for the new well will run about 1.5 miles north of the horizontal leg of the Tonkawa.

At this point they show the Gladiator “A” unit including only 112 acres but based on their approach with theTonkawa, the new unit will probably be expanded if they complete a well there.

Here’s a link to the permit and unit plats

Colorado County - EOG Gladiator A.pdf (2.6 MB)

EOG filed another permit yesterday, this time adjacent to the west side of the Tonkawa Unit. The unit called the Gladiator B is similar in size and shape to the Gladiator A that EOG permitted a couple of weeks ago. The drill site for the B unit is just inside the Fayette County line so it was filed there although the horizontal leg of the well extends into Colorado County.

The plat below shows the lateral for the B 2H extending to the west boundary of the Tonkawa unit about 3/4 mile south of the Gladiator A unit, basicly lined up with the horizontal leg of the Tonkawa.

Is EOG renewing any mineral leases? My place is close to the Colorado/Fayette county line!

Here’s a link where you can do free searches of the Fayette County deed records for leases recorded by EOG http://24.173.220.131/Fayette/homepage.aspx

Colorado County doesn’t have that kind of site but you can use TexasFile.com. Searches there are free but there is a charge if you want to view or print the documents you find.

Going forward if you set up a free account online at CourthouseDirect.com you can sign up for their LeaseAlerts covering those counties, or any others you are interested following. It’s no cost, and typically they email at least once a month any new leases recorded in the counties you request.
