I am trying to file a Mineral Deed in Stephens County Oklahoma but the County Clerk will not accept it without Section #. I have a legal description
Wilson Copeland and R. S. Ownings Surveys, A-129: Lots 1 and 8, West
One-Half of Lot 9
PSL Survey, Section 8, Block A-12
Is there a survey map of Stephens County anywhere on line? Thank you.
You need a township and range location as well. There are quite a few Section 8's in Stephens. Do you know what town it is close to?
There are several sources for maps. You might try the Oklahoma Tax Commission and see if a search turns up those names. It looks like you are missing the second half of the description which should have township and range.
That looks a bit off for items I have seen.
BLM Surveys are available here http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/search/default.aspx
Stephens County Plats are available here.

However, that does not look like a description you would find in Oklahoma. Most of the land survey lots will be across the North and West edges of a Township. That would mean sections 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, 18,19,30,31 would contain the lot numbers. Even then there are only 4 lots to a section other than section 6 which contains 7 lots. Exceptions would be navigable waterways and I doubt Stephens Co would have that.
The other possibility would be additions plats or township plats. Those would be in the second link, but the naming does not match anything I have ever seen while researching Oklahoma records.
Is there any chance you are looking for a location in Stephens County, TX? I "think" Texas uses the PSL term but Oklahoma is one of the PLSS States.
This tract of land is not in Oklahoma, but in Stephens County, TX. This is a part of the R. S. Owings Survey, A-129. It's in the Northeast portion of the county and the approximate center of the survey is 32.9300472, -98.6326559 if you wanted to look it up on Google Earth.
That tract is definitley a texas Survey description , Texas File on the web you should be able to locate it.
