In reviewing the February 2016 Antero Overview, if you look at the well maps provided, it looks like there is not a lot of activity in Tyler County compared to Doddridge County. Is there an issue with Tyler or did I misinterpret the activity maps?
Probably not. Antero seems to have pulled out of Tyler County. I think it's because they get lots of wet gas out of the Marcellus in Tyler County and there isn't enough treatment capacity in the area for all the wet gas. They're more interested in the dry gas now. My what a difference two years makes.
I can report that Antero has offered at least one lease this month in Tyler County. It was on a tiny net mineral acreage, so it could be just finishing off an heirship, but it was definitely offered this month.
