University Lands is holding an auction for mineral leases across multiple Texas counties. These periodic lease sales may be of interest to those who own minerals near the nominated tracts. Although the terms may not be directly applicable to non-university property, the resulting bids can shed some light on the values that companies place on leases in given areas. Leases for certain tracts may not sell, while others could sell for much higher than the posted minimum bids. The lease sale closes on September 19th at which point all submitted bids will be posted online.
