Does anyone have information on activity affecting the Pembrook Unit in Upton County? We are getting offers for up to $16K/acre to buy our mineral rights
There is horizontal drilling within the Pembrook Unit but it is something like 43,000 acres in size. Pioneer Natural Resources, the operator of that unit, is also slowing down its development activities. With an offer like that there is probably something happening on your specific tract(s). The Spraberry is unitized across all 43,000 acres but the Wolfcamp is not. That means Wolfcamp wells drilled across your section aren’t shared with the entire Pembrook Unit but instead just the tracts they are under.
