My siblings and I recently learned we collectively own 32 acres of mineral rights in the W2 of Section 63 in Block 8 of Dawson and Lynn Counties. They belonged to our mother who died about 40 years ago. We did not know she owned them and we never filed a copy of her probate in those two counties. Any opinions on the lease and sale values in that area would be greatly appreciated.
There isn’t much activity in that part of the county. I’d just sit tight. Any valuation is going to be highly speculative at this point. Here is an interesting article regarding the prices in the Permian. A lot of the boom has been a game of hot potato fueled by private equity money.
