I have paperwork that appears to indicate my parents owned a mineral interest in Roosevelt County. I don’t have the deed, but I have a number of division orders that would indicate ownership. No record of sale. I did an online search at the County Clerk but nothing turned up. I read previously that they had been putting their records online. I tried to call them, got voice mail, but no return call. Any suggestions on how to verify ownership? Thanks!
The Roosevelt County site actually looks pretty good… records back to 1903. Still, a more thorough check could be done by a landman or a title company who can search the records in person. It won’t be free, but it will probably cost less than driving there.
Thanks. When I searched online, my dad’s name never turned up. I know he owned the rights at one point, just trying to figure out if they were ever sold. Looking like a land man or title co.
