In December of 1977 my wife received, as an inheritance, an interest in a working lease in Ward County, Texas. (80 acres out of Survey 55, Scrap File 7911, J. W. Jackson, Original Grantee, Ward County, Texas.

She received a few royalty checks for a while but nothing for many years. She ran across the Division Orders in a file with some old documents. Does anyone know how to discover if that property is still under lease, is it producing, what is the status?

I have no idea how to find out about it.

Last production from that section was in 2007. The leases would have expired.
