Water Lease Dawson County

I have property in Dawson county, Texas. I recieved an offer to lease the water rights. The area is in need of water for the new drilling and fracking activity. I have no idea what a water lease value would be. I can’t find any comparables. The lease would be water rights, no surface rights and revenue of each barrel.

If anyone has any comments or idea what the going rate is please respond.

You might try looking on the University of Texas and Texas A&M websites for their standard pricing for water rights on their properties. Might have to hunt around a bit, but they used to post them.
