I found a water well in my backyard. 20"+ steel pipe 60’ deep filled to the top with ice cold crystal clear drinking water. It was covered and abandoned for the last 30 years. A man who lived across the way said he remembered it for watering horses. In a town without fresh drinking water. Something kept telling me to dig a certain spot in the backyard, sure enough! It is more valuable to me then the land itself. Should I register it with my mineral rights?
No registering needed. The water rights in Oklahoma belong to the surface owner.
