Hello Richard Saccaro. QUESTION: Are you a Landman? If so what company? If you, perhaps, are a Landman why not just offer TOP DOLLAR for BONUS LEASE? My understanding is that Hughes County is a big hydrocarbon potential of WET GAS? I can deduce this from other FORUM comments. ........Leta

Yes, I am a Landman, I work for Harper Oil & Gas in McAlester. We are interested in purchasing the minerals not leasing. We also pay top $$$$

Thank you Richard for your response.

I am 'not'--- ever interested in selling my inheritance LEGACY of minerals in Hughes County, however, I also own

a small minerals in Garvin County which was drilled by BRG OK. City, vertical drill, dry hole, then plugged. That was in SECTION 30 TWNP. 4N...Range 3E--- part of 74.65 acres. Now that horizontal drilling and fracking are a reality I would have interest......once again, --- only to Lease in Garvin County with top dollar$$$ LEASE BONUS. I have noticed a recent trend of LANDMEN wanting to buy OUTRIGHT the minerals in lieu of paying out LEASE BONUS monies. I see that as a lose----lose situation. My OPINION Richard. For me.....selling outright only serves my 'SILENCE' in doing neither, i.e., LEASE OR SELL! Thank you for your honesty.........Leta

Leta,

Not everyone was born into royalty. My grandfather had to buy the minerals I inherited, and so did most all the multi-section mineral owners in the state at one point in time. Every ones situation is unique. Not everyone has the luxury of turning their nose up at cash offers. He is only doing his job.

Mineral Steve,

Your point is well taken. You are right......my late daddy had to buy those minerals at some point, therefore, my sister and myself are appreciative of the Lease Bonus monies we recently received for Section 21-7N-10E. (HUGHES) via Great Sky Partners. A little history that impacted my negative attitude: In 2010 my sister and I leased our Garvin County minerals to a what we believe was a non-reputable Landman. Not one nickle was offered as BONUS or options to choose from for leasing. I am much more informed now.....thanks to some knowledgeable Landman, and other mineral owners on this forum. I am naive about this oil business, but trying to learn more, and stay informed. Thank you for your input.
