I am new to this game. We found natural gas on our property in Kentucky and when it was hit, we capped it off. What if anything can we do with this. Lastly, does this mean there is potential for oil also?
When you say you found it, what exactly do you mean? Did you drill a well to heat your home? Never heard of someone stumbling upon natural gas by accident, only reason I ask?
My husband noticed a ‘sheen’ on the water in the creek on our property. Had a dowser come Who felt like we had oil on the property. We brought in a team to drill and they hit natural gas and had to cap it off. That’s as far as we have taken it.
You can look up your area on the Kentucky GIS map to see if other oil and gas wells are nearby. Get professional help if you decide to move forward on anything.
