I'm new to this, but trying to get a handle. I understand this well is coming off confidential status tomorrow. Does anyone know how soon I can get production data? Do I need to subscribe to the NDIC to get this data? Should I get the premium subscription, or is basic all I need? Does anyone on this forum share this information?
If anyone has answers that may be helpful, please share!!!
here is the data posted as of today. if it comes off confidential tomorrow, i will post what that shows. as to seeing monthly production as the months go by, they typically post 2 months delayed, around the 1st of each month, on the NDIC basic subscription. There is a free site to get the production, but doesn't get updated posts until approximately the 15th of each month, at this site. https://www.dmr.nd.gov/oilgas/mprindex.asp
the format in the free site, isn't the same as the NDIC basic, which is posted below; but shows production #'s.

Wow, this is more detailed than I expected to get right off the bat. Thank you. And thanks in advance if you have the time to look if it comes off confidential tomorrow.
So sorry to ask a stupid question, but I'm having trouble finding the answer anywhere. The number of oil runs does not give an indication of actual oil production, right? I have to wait for the information to be out of confidential status for true production numbers, right?
James you are right. There is usually something left in the tank. Some months they will sell a few hundred barrels more than they produced, at least that's the way it works with my wells.
Mr Kennedy, you just answered my question. I have been trying to reconcile the production figures on my royalty check with the figures on the statistics report, to no avail. I can now stop scratching my head.
How does James know his well is to come of confidential? Is there a time period that will have lapsed?
In 150/99/4 I see where 25066 Loomer well has a rig as of 6/20. Am I correct in assuming they will drill 25065 at the same time. Then there are 4 more with later permits in that same section. Is it feasible that all could be drilled at the same time?......Wishful thinking. Are these wells on platforms? I've been reading about these as a savings on the drilling costs of an area. ........Thank you for your willingness to share information.

Wow. Thank you so much for sharing this. You have been a great help. Are royalties paid on BBLS Oil AND MCF sold?
Thanks again,
James

I dont have answers for most of your questions, but regarding confidentiality, I read somewhere that they are no longer confidential 6 months from the spud date.

On the NDIC website, there is a Confidential List. The 25066 well is listed Confidential until 12/20/2013.

Deloris, there is a confidential list on the NDIC site. On the list it will give a date for when the wells will come off confidential status if the operator has requested what I call the "true" confidential status, because all permits are confidential.
Deloris, the well drilling right now is an infil well and there are 5 more permits, and it's up to XTO whether they drill just the current well or all 5 other wells they have active permits for. I hope they drill all 5. Newfield and SM Energy have spacings really close to you with multiple wells, lets hope XTO wants to keep up with the neighbors.

I, too, am hoping they have a "keep up with the Jones" attitude. I found us on the Confidential list. I am tracking all our events to learn about the pattern, if one exists, for this process of bringing in an oil well or wells.
Keeps me off the streets. Thanks for sharing.

about the 15th of the month. every once in a while I will call after the 5th or so and ask the person who answers. Some will give you the production and others will say wait til the 15th.
150-99-4 has a lot of confidential wells listed, two of which have actually been spud and the one well that has been producing, LOOMER 21-4SWH shows 0-0-0 all across the board, there may be too much work going on to run the producing well at all. Cumulative production of 144,709. Tobacco Garden is a nice area.
