#27057 - HUNT OIL COMPANY, SIOUX TRAIL 160-101-36-25H-1 was released from confidential status
on 07-30-14. IP shows 268 bopd.
I would appreciate it if someone could provide more detailed production numbers for this well.
Also, if anyone might know how many frac stages this well has, or where I might find that information.
25 stages and sand frac. Lots of water and not that much gas.

I’m one of the mineral owners of this well, this was exactly the information that I was looking for.
I’ve noticed a lot of wells in this area of Divide Co. seem to produce a lot more water than oil.
Is a lot of this water that was used for frac’ing the well that is being brought back up?
And if so, would it be reasonable to assume that in the ensuing months, that the BBLS of water each month
should decrease, and the BBLS of oil hopefully may increase a little?
My family and I have mineral rights in Divide County also. 160, 100, SE part of section 10 and SW part of section 11. There is drilling started in the section north of section 10 and we are part of the pool. We just signed a Division Order a few weeks ago.
Lars, where did you find the monthly production data?
You can download the well files. 50 dollars for 12 months. 27057 is a middle bakken well. A future TFH well may do better. And 35-40 frac stages. The Water/oil and the amount of gas - a lot of water i must say.
Good luck in the future!
For comparison - our familys first well in Long Creek - Williams:
I would like to add that in an absolute sense, 8,000 barrels of water is alot of water but I also have seen wells that produce 4 times as much water as oil and they are still profitable. The well above is good to better than good in my , from the mineral owner perspective.
If you are leased the cost of the disposal of the water does not come out of your royalty check.
I have also seen wells that have produced 10 times as much water as oil and the well produced 1 million barrels of water over 20 years time but there was a salt water disposal well on the lease. This is just to put things into perspective for new mineral royalty owners.
