Looking to recover unclaimed royalty payments from Western Gas Resources. Anyone know who took over and contact information to get proof of my mineral ownership?
If everything was done correctly, the proof of your ownership via purchase or inheritance should be filed in the county courthouse in Howard County. That is the official repository for title information. If wills were not probated or someone died intestate, then more legal legwork is needed to get the will probated or affidavit of heirship filed.
You would need to know the well names or locations since Western Gas Resources may have sold different properties to different operators.

If you provide a legal description of your minerals, the members of this site can probably find a wealth of information for you. The description should include the Section, Block, Township (if applicable) and, if the minerals are not undivided, a geographic description such as "the Southwest Quarter (SW/4) or "the North Half (N/2). If you have the name of a well or a unit, that would also help.
