I have a well in section 33 4n4w called Prairie. It is well #5. On the drilling permit the well name ends in SXH. What does that mean? Thanks, Tom
X usually means that a well is crossing a section line.
H is for horizontal.
Not sure about S. Possibly means the well is in a “stand-up” unit.
M is for multi-unit.
S is for Springer. The formation the wellbore will hopefully be in.
Thank you sir! So the WXH must be Woodford. So then GXH would be Goddard. Have a good evening. Tom
Goddard is part of the Springer Series so not always differentiated.
