My brother and I are new to this, having inherited the property. How does one determine what companies are involved in drilling, etc on our property. Were in Twn 11N, Range 32E. Were trying to get educated.

JOHN,
What state and county is your property in?

John,
I think you are in Rosebud County, MT. but the area described is over 40 square miles and at least 4 different companies have taken leases or produced from some small oil wells in recent years. I just happened to do a project there last year so have some familiarity. I didn't look up any old data but if you send me a section reference, I amy be able to tell you more. How many acres did you inherit?
We have the north half of section 24. It was my grandmother's homestead.

Thanks for writing. I can’t believe this. I inherited 50.0 acres (6.25 net mineral acres situated in the John Harris Survey, Abstract 328 of Panola County. I have signed a three year lease. Anadarko is supposed to have started drilling in October just over a year ago. I have no idea where this may be. Can you tell me. I have been trying to figure this out since over a year. I have read about mineral rights but still learning. What can you tell me? Thank you so much.
Hi Gary, John Harris Survey in Panola County, TX. Abstract 328. I have only 50.0 acres (6.25 net mineral acres.) Thanks.
I had a Landman call me and he contracts I guess for Anadarko. I signed a lease with Anadarko.
I am just learning too.
Hi Clint, It is in Panola Texas. Thanks! Cyndy
