What's the outlook for leasing in Slope County?

Being unfamiliar with Mineral Right ownership and leasing I appreciate being able to learn from the group. I have never had any inquiries in Slope County. Is there any lease activity?

SW 1/4 of township 133 of section 17

NE 1/4 of township 134 of section 3

W 1/2 of township 134 of section 13

What ranges are they in? Either way if you haven’t had it leased yet chances are it will be at least 2 to 3 years before it’s leased. It just depends on how the wells that have been drilled or are planned, turn out. None of the wells drilled so far have produced much. It will probably be a while before anyone hits any decent wells in Slope.

Thank you for your insight Tyler.

Just as an FYI: the NE 1/4 of range 103, SW 1/4 of range 103 and W 1/2 of range 101.

Outside of a major (MAJOR MAJOR) breakthrough on completion designs in other formations, more than likely it will be pretty quiet in your area for the next 5-10 years. There is a chance for horizontal in the red river but that is still very much a work in progress trying to crack the code on completing it. Stay positive though, the Bakken, Haynesville, and Eagleford has unlocked a treasure trove of completion ideas and lessons learned. Only a matter of time before they figure it out and then you will be sitting on one of the next big plays.
