I live in southern Bexar County on Senior Road. How do I get started and what is the advantage to owning all the minerals? Is 10 acres too small? What is a reliable leasing company and what is the going price? I do not want to sell. Any help is appreciated.

Ten acres is pretty small as the fracturing process in shale usually requires about a mile of lateral drilling lines to facilitate an "oil field". Owning all the mineral rights is good. If any oil companies are interested in exploring the area you live in they will usually contact you about leasing those mineral rights.
