I was receiving royalty checks every month for 18 years on an old vertical gas well in Elk District until they stopped coming in the Fall of 2023 (they were penny checks, but they came just the same with regularity). I called Diversified and was told that the well/lease had been transferred to WV Mineral Group LLC, Lumberport, WV. I contacted WV Mineral Group and was told that yes, they had the well and yes, they had my Diversified owner name and number in the records that came from Diversified. They said a check would be issued in Jan 2025 for the production year 2024. I have not received a check yet. I tried contacting them by phone and email, but I get no response. The phone goes straight to an answering machine. Has anyone else had dealings with them, especially for wells that they got from Diversified in 2023?
Yes I m in same boat was waiting on w2 so I called diversified and was told same thing Can’t even find a number for them can you give me there number So I guess no w2 last year for royalties Been waiting to do taxes. Seems like a shady bunch already
My issue wasn’t with Diversified, it was with WV Mineral Group, which coincidentally, called me back this week and cleared up the issue. They will be issuing my check within two weeks, but not a W2, as the sum is too small to require one. WV Mineral’s contact info is: 304-848-8140 and carolindaflanagan@gmail.com.
