I did another search of the county clearks files and came up with this.

There is still about 5 rigs around Gene Autry area 2 South of the Ardmore Air Park and 2 just of Happy Trail Road south of 53 Hwy 1 on Indian Hills Road could be more that is all I saw

I think the the two wells at the Ardmore Airport are for the 5 MELTON and 3 ARDMORE AIRPORT wells. When XTO is finished there should be 9 wells in Section 18.
Just curious, Daniel. I can’t figure a reason a mineral owner would object however I can see why a surface owner might.

The county records are not foolproof, there may be something we can’t find. The last time I was in Ardmore, in Oct, we corrected a couple of mistakes in the land records, as we had the documentation to back things up.
Don’t worry about it Daniel - I am just curious, I’m always wondering if there’s some reasoning I don’t know about. Please don’t spend time on it.

This is good news for you.
Sometime ago, Order 99833 established an 80 acre spacing unit for some of the formations in the area of your mineral interest. This means that even if they found anything in your section only those in the 80 acres would get a royalty.
Same thing for Order 269555, but this was for 160 acres, for different formations.
Now they are asking to open the complete sections, 640 acres for all the formations under your mineral interest.
Let’s say you have 20 acres of mineral interest and happen to have a lease for 3/16 royalty, then you would get about .0056% of everything recovered.
It sounds to me like they will be drilling in the future.

It will be interesting to see where the rig goes. I heard somewhere that there is a shortage of fracing equipment, so it is taking a little longer to get them on site.
