The Felderhoff Drilling rig 28 moved to the MITCHELL 1-20H. It is in Carter Co., but I do not know which T/R.
Liz, I’ve never thought any Mineral Registries are worth the money. Landmen can find you without it and you can get permit information from the OCC and Daily Oklahoman (also in the free online version).
Ok. Thanks Ann and Don. I just figured it was info that was hard to find in other areas. It is probably true that we just need to check the OCC data on a regular basis instead of the registry. I appreciate it.
EA,
If you don’t mind, where are your mineral interest south of Gene Autry? Mine are in 253S 2E and 30 3S 3E.
I am very familiar with the Walls wells. I’ve got a picture around here somewhere of the Felderhoff Drilling Co. rig 27 drilling on the Walls.
There is another well drill from 27 to 34 that should be completed soon.
Liz…I agree with Ann’s prespective as well. I have yet to see the benefit from the cost of what you pay to Mineral Registeries.
Nice picture, Daniel. We drove out and talked to some of the guys on the rig awhile back. Quite an undertaking!
South (and west) of Gene Autry we own minerals in Section 27, T3S, R2E which has the 4-well drilling operation on it right now. We also own minerals in the downtown area of Gene Autry that are producing.
Daniel, speaking of Sec.30-3S-3E, there was a permit issued some time back for the Hobbs 2-30H well. Do you know if they have started anything on this well, I have heard nothing. My mineral interest is in 12-3S-3E, north and east of Gene Autry.
Liz, I recommend a routine for checking drilling reports. Personally, I check reports every AM while I’m drinking my coffee.
Sounds like a great idea, Ann.
Don,
When I was back there in Oct, I live in California, XTO said they would be drilling 4 wells there in about 3 or 4 months. That would put the date in late Jan or early Feb. Also, right now they only have a permit for 1 additional well, so I guess they will have to get an amended Increase Desnity application. The pad is completed and they have drilled a fresh water well, but there is nothing on the pad. Best looking gravel parking lot I have seen.
XTO said it was an 80’ deep hole with a plate on top to keep the critters out.
It looks like it has a corrugated pipe lining.
It just means like the starter hole and they will evidentually set the wellhead etc. down on top of it. It’s all GOOD!
Daniel, what is that thing on your Hobbs parking lot? It looked like some surface casing or something in that hole in the center of the location?
Anyone ever hear of a TRUSTEE’S DEED?
I’ve been told you call that the Conductor hole…Daniel.
That does not sound good. What does it mean?
Linda,
I could sure use on of the Branch well rigs. I was surprised that Newfield did not drill multiple wells from one pad with a ‘walking rig’. I think they could have saved a lot of money.
Linda & Daniel, I’ve never heard of a “starter hole”. Seems like a waste of time & resources to move a rig in and out twice. I could barely see the top of the corrugated pipe, just didn’t know what it meant. Last time I saw something similar was in LeFlore County while they were waiting for plugging crew (i.e. dry hole).
