Permit request was filed today for a horizontal Haynesville well. Surface location is 6.1 miles northwest of Oakwood. This permit represents the expansion of their drilling area to the northeast from Robertson and Leon Counties.

The vertical depth here is probably more than 18,000 feet.

I wonder what all these genius’s that have stated that no one is going to drill for natural gas at the current market prices THINK? Ha! Ha!
Do you think these operators would be drilling in this price environment if they didn’t have to? With debt and lease obligations, they have no choice but to drill through it.
So congratulations on dunking on people when mineral owners are getting 50 cents on the dollar for their natural gas production.
