Garvin County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Lyndon, Uncle Royce Freeman?

Any of you ever been to Punkin’s in Pauls Valley? Or, The Pig Shop?

We’ve been to Punkin’s many, many times and the Pig Shop some. Both great places to eat!

I was talking about Cotton. He was my mother’s first cousin. Cotton’s dad, Bud, and my grandfather, Bernice, were brothers.

Pig Shop - yes. I’m a graduate of PVHS. Class of 1968.

I am completely new to this leasing and oil / gas royalties thing. I have inherited mineral rights in Garvin county. I do not know how to interpret these documents. Specifically, how do I correlate the range township section data to a geographic location … so that I can determine the exact location of what I own?

Tica,

See if this map helps you out any.

Thank you Rick. I have been to the age you directed me to … and I cannot make heads or tails of it.

tice, these maps may also help ftp://ftp-fc.sc.egov.usda.gov/OK/tech/gis/Web/County_Base_Maps/4049… . do you know martha m. Mcgarity or mary E. payne?

Tica,

Give me the basic legal and I’ll try to help point them out.

Like S31-1N-3W or just 1N-3W if that is all you want to post.

I see some leased in the same last name earlier in the year.

I’ve eked out a little information from Marathon about Smith 1-18H well (18 3N, 4 W). When I asked for information about production, they referred me to the OCC website mentioning it was difficult to navigate that website. I found the wells listed, but I can find no production info. Can any of you pros help?

Galethey are not showing any production figures for Smith 1-18H, just the permit to drill and the spud report. You might call Marathon back and see if they will tell you the date of first production, if there is oil you might be able to check the State Tax Comm. they might have some figures since they collect the production taxes.

thank you. I will have time to post my follow up questions this weekend.

Ron where do you get your information from on first sales, could you check and see if there is a date for the Standridge 1-32H 32-8N-6W.

I have a working interest in 18. you can take a w.i. on any amount like 1/4 acre and get a daily drilling report. But they don’t like you to make the info . public. Some make you agree not to. You can get production info. from Okla. Tax Comm, but they send you a form to fill out first that shows you have R.I. or W.I. in the well. So I can’t help on 8n-6w sorry.

First gas sales were 4/11/12.

Richard, the first sale was in April. Division orders should be issued in August. That seems like a drawn-out process, but in sure it’s routine. I’ll look around on the Oklahoma Tax Commissin website. I’m learning!

Does anyone have a photo of the Smith 1-18H well in sec 18, 3N, 4W?

Thanks, Lynden!
